San Marcos - Puerto Plata

This was the outside of our work site today in San Marcos in Puerto Plata. The building was about 50% finished but is used as a church. This was the nameplate outside the building. It had a few lights inside and cement pillars, tin covering the windows and three lights for use when power was available...but certainly not a place you'd want to be in an earthquake!

We loved working all together in one building today....and this community was most gracious and continually expressed their gratitude today.

This is Maria, our associate today. She is the leader of the Bank of Hope in San Marcos...they call themselves "Fighting for Hope". She has been a widow for 11 years; has six children and makes and sells children's clothing and comforters. Through her hard work all 6 of her children have graduated from High School

We were all in one building today....by now working like a well-oiled machine.

And, of course...we always love to picture the Children of the Dominican that we helped today.

We hope that these will bring a smile to your face. 10's .... 10's absolutely everywhere!
(If you don't know what it means to be a "10" .... well.... it's probably too long to explain in this blog but it means you're nothing short of fabulous!)

It was a wonderful day!
