Day 5

Today the humanitarian group worked in the batey at Penon which is just outside San Pedro (about a 30 minute drive from the hotel). The power and water went out at the hotel this morning at about 6AM. So many of the group are not quite as clean and combed as usual and those who plugged in an alarm clock almost missed the start of the day!!

TODAY is the Dominican Republic National AIDS HIV Awareness Day. These first two photos are of a presentation the Crown Council group did today in recognition of HIV AIDS Awareness Day.

AND...we thought it would be fun to highlight some of the Dominican Rebulic children who our Crown Council group worked on today. So, here are some pictures of the 133 children patients that our humanitarian group served today...

Finally... here is Dr Roy Hammond speaking to the dental students at the dental school in San Pedro where we can all celebrated the partnership between the dental school , Smiles for Life, the Crown Council and Esperanza International
It is the goal of our relationship to help the Dominican people help themselves
